Step 2, introduce a new suspect.

Kevin Spacey for The Hollywood Reporter, April 2014

At 54, Spacey is in his prime, eagerly pursuing new obsessions and exalting in his contradictory status in Hollywood as a big-name star who operates like an eccentric outsider.

"…my life, for the most part, has been very stale and colorless. Dead, I mean. The world has always been an empty place to me. I was incapable of enjoying even the simplest things. I felt dead in everything I did.’ He brushed the dirt from his hands. ‘But then it changed,’ he said. ‘The night I killed that man."

"I’m attracted to stories that excite my imagination, stories that, as I’m reading the script, I feel it, I can see it, I can hear the characters. I’m attracted to characters that are real, that tap into something inside me that I haven’t explored yet.”
